Deutsche Bank named Lisa McGeough as head of the Americas, turning to an executive who most recently was chief executive of HSBC's U.S. banking operations to lead an area it sees as crucial for growth.
The German bank said Tuesday that McGeough, who will also be chief executive of DBUSA, will take over from Paul Maley, who has held the position on an interim basis since May. Maley will remain in the position until McGeough joins Deutsche Bank in early 2026.
McGeough will also join the group's management committee, and her appointment is subject to regulatory approval, Deutsche Bank said.
Prior to her role as HSBC's U.S. CEO, McGeough led global banking coverage for HSBC Holdings, and held senior roles at Wells Fargo.
