智通财经APP获悉，劳斯莱斯控股公司上周六否认了关于其正探索为小型核反应堆(SMR)部门进行首次公开募股(IPO)的报道。此前有知情人士称，该公司正考虑IPO及其他融资方案，但相关谈判仍处于初期阶段。劳斯莱斯SMR部门发言人通过邮件明确表示："目前既无计划、也未启动任何IPO程序。"
今年6月，劳斯莱斯SMR机组被选定为英国首批小型模块化反应堆建设方，这是英国推进2030年代中期电网脱碳目标的关键举措。该机组由劳斯莱斯持有多数股权，计划建造三座反应堆。
英国政府承诺未来四年内为SMR项目投入25亿英镑(约合34亿美元)，旨在打造欧洲首批小型核工业示范项目。
当前全球多国正加速布局小型模块化反应堆技术，除英国外，美国、加拿大、罗马尼亚和捷克共和国等均已启动相关研发。若英国项目成功落地，不仅将推动本土能源结构转型，更可能为全球核能市场开辟新的增长空间。
