Premiere Island Power REIT (PSE:PREIT) received a notice from S.I. Power (SIPCOR) regarding the Energy Regulatory Commission's decision to revoke the provisional authorities to operate its generating units in Siquijor, Philippines.
SIPCOR leases properties from Premiere Island Power REIT, according to a Tuesday Philippines Exchange filing.
The affected assets include the Siquijor and Lazi diesel power plants and an expansion facility.
SIPCOR will seek legal remedies, including a motion for reconsideration, arguing that the plants were run in good faith to meet urgent power needs during peak demand.
