Sony Buys Back 15.2 Million Shares in August for 60.9 Billion Yen

Sony Group (TYO:6758) repurchased nearly 15.2 million of its shares in August for a total of 60.9 billion yen under its ongoing buyback program, according to a Wednesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The purchases, made on the Tokyo Stock Exchange between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31 under a discretionary trading contract, are part of a plan authorized in May to buy back up to 100 million shares for as much as 250 billion yen through May 14, 2026.
