RXO Inc., a prominent provider of asset-light transportation solutions, has unveiled new insights into industry-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) within the logistics sector. The report, titled "Logistics KPI Benchmarks, By Industry," provides an analysis of how supply chain professionals across various industries, including automotive, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail, track and utilize transportation data as KPIs. This study, building upon previous research conducted in collaboration with Qualtrics, highlights the varying expectations and advancements among industries. Notably, manufacturers exhibit the highest demand for exceeding industry standards, while food and beverage shippers strongly believe in the importance of KPIs. Healthcare shippers lead in advanced KPI tracking, and both retail and healthcare sectors show significant AI usage in logistics operations. Additionally, automotive and consumer packaged goods industries have increasingly stringent carrier KPI standards. These insights are aimed at helping shippers optimize their logistics strategies by comparing against industry benchmarks.
