Lithium Energy (ASX:LEL) said the first pass review of the underlying geological and historic drill core data within the Capricorn gold-copper belt project in Queensland indicated that it was likely that mineralization associated with an adjacent historic mine is repeated at the project, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

Lithium Energy re-assayed two historic cores, which support its geological model and include gold and copper intercepts.

The geological modelling and drill core analysis highlight six priority areas for exploration of Mt. Morgan mine lookalike gold and copper mineralization.
