Cerence (CRNC) said Monday it has partnered with Microsoft (MSFT) to bring to market a new artificial intelligence-based mobile work assistant.

The company said the offering will run on its xUI platform and will integrate Microsoft 365 Copilot tools like Outlook, Teams and OneNote, allowing users to work safely and hands-free while in their cars.

Designed for driving, the system will reduce the need for screen interaction by using voice commands, the company said, adding it can also sync with calendars to suggest routes to meetings and adjust its behavior depending on whether the car is moving, autonomous or parked.
