据新华社电 据英国《金融时报》3日报道，总部位于伦敦的世界黄金协会拟推出“数字黄金”，意在构建全新的黄金交易、结算及抵押方式。
世界黄金协会首席执行官戴维·泰特接受《金融时报》采访时表示，“数字黄金”将首次实现“黄金在黄金生态系统中以数字形式流转，并作为抵押品使用”。
泰特说，黄金数字化有利于其他市场中广泛使用的各类金融产品未来也能应用于黄金市场，让全球众多资产管理机构重新审视黄金的投资价值。
世界黄金协会联合相关机构3日发布关于“下一代黄金市场愿景”的创新举措，拓宽并简化黄金应用场景、实现黄金权益在交易方之间的便捷安全转移等。
《金融时报》报道说，这项创新将允许银行和投资者通过独立账户买卖实物黄金的部分所有权，试点项目预计于明年第一季度在伦敦开始。
