路透新加坡/北京9月5日 - 三位知情人士说，中国科技巨头字节跳动公司的芯片设计员工上周意外发现，他们是某个新加坡部门的一部分。
其中两位人士说，这些员工是在公司内部信息平台上发现自己被转入一个新的群组时，才发现这一情况的。
让芯片设计员工向新加坡部门汇报，可能有助于字节跳动在寻求先进半导体技术渠道的过程中，避开中美紧张关系。
消息人士不愿具名，也没有透露该部门的名称。
路透无法了解字节跳动有多少芯片设计人员属于这个部门。
根据商业注册记录，字节跳动在新加坡注册了一家名为Picoheart 的实体。字节跳动还在新加坡拥有大型数据中心，Tiktok首席执行官周受资也在新加坡工作。(完)
