0924 GMT - T-Mobile U.S.'s increased synergy forecast from the UScellular acquisition represents a significant positive development, ING analyst Jan Frederik Slijkerman writes in a note. The U.S. telecommunication company now expects the transaction, which closed on August 1, to create $1.2 billion in annual cost synergies, up from its previous forecast of $1 billion. The upgraded forecast contributes to T-Mobile's strong performance, he says. Shares closed on Thursday at $252.12. (najat.kantouar@wsj.com)
