ACME Solar Holdings Places Order for 2 GWh Battery Energy Storage System; Shares Up 5%

ACME Solar Holdings (NSE:ACMESOLAR, BOM:544283) has placed an order of 2 GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) with China-based system supplier Chuzhou Lishen New Energy Technology, according to a Monday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

The order was placed through POSCO International Corporation and China FAW Group Import and Export.

The order will be delivered in phases over the next six to 10 months and will be deployed across ACME Solar's FDRE (firm and dispatchable renewable energy) and standalone BESS projects. These projects are expected to be commissioned over the next 12 to 18 months.

The company's shares were up nearly 5% in recent trade.
