据环球时报，继韩国三星电子和SK海力士后，美国政府又撤销台积电对旗下大陆主要芯片厂运送必要设备的授权。岛内分析认为，此举将打击台积电在大陆生产芯片的能力。 台媒称，美国官员近期通知台积电，他们决定终止台积电南京厂的“经验证最终用户”(VEU)身份，与先前美国撤销三星电子和SK海力士大陆工厂VEU资格的做法如出一辙。台积电南京厂主要负责成熟制程，包括16纳米和28纳米，主要用于汽车电子、物联网、智能手机的主流芯片、消费性电子产品等。去年5月，台积电宣布获得美国商务部的VEU授权，但9月2日证实接到美方通知，授权将在今年12月31日到期并撤销。 台积电表示，正在评估撤销豁免的情况，并采取适当的因应措施，包括与美国政府沟通，确保南京厂营运不受影响。
