Cosan said it has been actively approached by parties interested in investing in Raizen, its joint venture with Shell.

The Brazilian sugar-and-ethanol group is still evaluating alternatives to improve its capital structure and seeking new investors, alongside Shell, for Raizen, Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer Rodrigo Araujo Alves said Thursday.

"As a result, Cosan has been actively approached by parties interested in potential investments in both companies," Alves said in a statement.

Discussions remain ongoing, and no decision or commitment has been made yet, Alves said.

The statement comes days after media reports that Mitsubishi was interested in buying a stake in Raizen.
