9月5日，京东公众号发文宣布，京东旅行正式推出“京东品酒会”，之后将定期举行，创新联动酒店和酒品牌，打造差异化住宿体验。首场品酒会将于9月16日在北京国际饭店举办，京东集团创始人刘强东将亲临现场。
京东表示，截至9月10日，如在京东App预订了北京国际饭店且入住时间含9月16日晚，即可自动报名，将随机邀请其中部分幸运用户参加品酒会。“在首场品酒会上，欢迎和东哥“把酒言欢”、分享建议，欢迎现场免费体验茅台酒专业品鉴，免费享受五星级酒店专享定制晚宴。”
