Malaysian extended gains from yesterday's session to end marginally in the green zone on Tuesday amid mixed regional performance, as investors bet on US Federal Reserve rate cuts.
The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI, the main gauge of Malaysian stocks, gained 1.22 points to end 0.08% higher at 1,586.81. The day range was between 1,581.89 and 1,587.53.
In corporate news, shares of Bina Puri (KLSE:BPURI) gained 3% on close after its unit signed a memorandum of understanding with Hanil Electric to establish a framework of cooperation.
Shares of Econpile (KLSE:ECONBHD) gained over 1% on Tuesday's close after its unit Econpile (M) bagged a deal worth about 54 million ringgit from Gamuda Geo. The deal involves bored piling construction and other associated works from Komtar to East Jelutong, for a project known as Projek Rapid Transit Aliran Ringan (LRT).
