根据Lyft发布的声明，从本周三起，该公司将在亚特兰大中城区域7平方英里的范围内，推出搭载May Mobility自动驾驶技术的Toyota Sienna小型厢式车，供用户打车使用。Lyft表示，此类自动驾驶行程的定价将与常规Lyft订单持平。

Lyft执行副总裁、负责司机体验的Jeremy Bird表示，该公司起步较晚，但正逐步追赶优步在全球范围内的布局。相比之下，优步目前已与Waymo在亚特兰大、奥斯汀和菲尼克斯等城市合作开展无人驾驶服务，并在阿布扎比与WeRide达成合作。

此次与May Mobility的合作，是Lyft去年11月宣布的一系列自动驾驶合作伙伴关系中的首个落地项目。

Lyft预计将在2026年进一步拓展自动驾驶服务覆盖的美国市场，并与更多技术伙伴展开合作，包括英特尔(INTC.US)支持的Mobileye Global Inc.以及奥地利的Benteler集团。此外，Lyft也计划通过与百度(BIDU.US)的合作，在欧洲市场推出无人驾驶出行服务。
