Stocks to Watch Wednesday: Oracle, GameStop, Novo Nordisk -- WSJ

Oracle $(ORCL)$: The software company's results missed expectations, but it forecast huge gains in cloud-infrastructure revenue. CEO Safra Catz said she expects several more multibillion-dollar customers in the next few months. Shares surged by nearly 30% in premarket trading.

GameStop $(GME)$: The videogame retailer-turned-meme stock posted a jump in quarterly profit and said the value of its bitcoin holdings topped half a billion dollars last quarter. Shares rose nearly 6% before the bell.

Synopsys $(SNPS)$: Shares in the design-software maker skidded by one-fifth premarket after quarterly results disappointed investors.

Novo Nordisk (NVO): Shares in the Wegovy and Ozempic maker rose 2.5% in Denmark after it said it plans to slash 9,000 jobs. It also cut guidance for the second time in six weeks.

Chewy $(CHWY)$: The online pet-products retailer is due to post quarterly results this morning. Shares were up 4.5% premarket after an analyst upgraded the stock and raised his price target.

Robinhood (HOOD): The online brokerage, which is popular with individual traders who congregate online to talk about stocks, is launching a social-media network.

AeroVironment $(AVAV)$: The defense contractor boosted its annual profit outlook after a more-than-doubling in quarterly revenue. The stock rose nearly 5% before the bell.

Inditex (ES:ITX): The Spanish fashion conglomerate's first-half sales missed projections, but growth picked up during the summer. Shares in the Zara owner jumped 7%.
