Newmont (ASX:NEM) plans to voluntarily delist from the Toronto Stock Exchange due to low trading volumes, effective at the close of trading on Sept. 24, according to a Thursday statement by the company.
The gold, copper, silver, zinc, and lead producer said the proposed delisting does not require shareholder approval and would improve administrative efficiency and reduce costs to the company's shareholders.
