EU says it accepts Microsoft's commitments to address competition concerns over Teams platform

BRUSSELS, Sept 12 (Reuters) - The European Commission said on Friday it had accepted commitments offered by Microsoft MSFT.O to address competition concerns related to its Teams platform.

EU regulators had preliminarily found during an investigation opened in 2023 that Microsoft had granted Teams an undue competitive advantage and restricted competition in the cloud-based communication and collaboration products due to bundling its productivity applications.
