Vallourec said it won a major contract to supply Brazil's state-controlled oil company Petrobras with specialized steel pipes for oil and gas drilling and production.

The contract could generate total revenue of up to $1 billion over the 2026 to 2029 period, the French steel tube maker said Thursday.

As part of the agreement, Vallourec will provide Petrobras with oil country tubular goods products as well as services for its offshore operations.

It is the largest Petrobras award in terms of volumes and revenues since the company switched to its open tender strategy, Vallourec said.
