美国联邦贸易委员会(FTC)宣布，将向OpenAI、Alphabet、Meta、xAI、Snap、经营Character.ai的Character Technologies，以及Meta旗下Instagram这7家企业发出指令，要求了解其AI聊天机器人可能对儿童和青少年造成哪些负面影响。FTC表示，AI聊天机器人可能被用来模拟与用户的交流和产生人际关系，希望了解这些公司已经采取哪些措施，来评估这些聊天机器人作为同伴时的安全性。FTC主席Andrew Ferguson在声明中表示，保护儿童的网路安全是委员会的首要任务。
