据介绍，刘强东在直播中会烹饪宿迁名菜“黄狗猪头肉”。“黄狗猪头肉”也叫“乾隆老汤黄狗猪头肉”。这道菜的历史可以追溯到清乾隆十二年（1741年）。
相传在乾隆二十七年（1762年），乾隆皇帝第三次南巡途经宿迁时，没有惊动当地官员，而是与贴身侍卫乔装打扮在城中探访。时至晌午，乾隆被一阵肉香吸引，循味发现一家卖猪头肉的小酒馆。品尝后他连声赞叹，并问店家姓名。因黄德乳名“大狗”，乡亲们称他为“黄狗”乾隆皇帝听后大笑，随口吟诗一首：“黄狗猪头肉，酥鲜嫩烂香。宫中亦未有，海内应无双。自此，“黄狗猪头肉”便声名远扬。
