智通财经APP获悉，家电制造商惠而浦(WHR.US)声称，其海外竞争对手可能通过低估进口货物的申报价值来规避美国关税。惠而浦表示，从进口文件生成的联邦数据表明，自6月起，一些家电产品的报关申报价值显著下降，这将使缴纳的关税减少。
据报道，进口自中国的垃圾处理器在1月至5月期间的平均申报价值为21美元，而在6月降至9美元，7月更是低于8美元。进口自泰国的燃气灶具申报价值下降了一半以上至175美元，而进口自韩国的洗衣机的申报价值则从838美元骤降至73美元。然而，惠而浦指出，这些适用13%至60%关税税率的家电产品在零售价格上并未下降。
惠而浦表示，它将相关数据与其对竞争对手生产设施的了解进行交叉比对，以找出可能存在低估进口货物申报价值行为的公司。这些公司包括三星、LG、通用家电等。三星拒绝就这一指控发表评论。LG表示其致力于遵守所有美国法律。通用家电则称这些指控并不准确。
此外，惠而浦表示，已就此事向海关和边境保护局以及特朗普政府的相关部门表达了担忧，但尚未正式提出投诉。
