Comcast-owned broadcaster Sky Group plans to cut about 600 jobs in the U.K., a person familiar with the matter said Tuesday.

The U.K. media company has launched a consultation on proposed changes that affect about 900 roles, and expects about 600 exits, the person said.

Sky said it is shifting its approach to invest in its service and content after launching new products as well as a fiber-broadband service.
