Citicore Renewable Energy (PSE:CREC) switched on the Philippines' first solar baseload power plant in Batangas, Philippines, on Monday, according to a same-day Philippines Exchange filing.
The 197-megawatt solar power plant, named Citicore Solar Batangas 1 facility, is paired with a 320 megawatt-hour battery system.
The project is part of the company's target to hit 1 gigawatt of renewable capacity by the end of 2025.
