Falcon Metals (ASX:FAL) said assays from wedge holes drilled at the Blue Moon prospect in Victoria, following up on the high-grade results from the parent hole and the first wedge hole, encountered high-grade gold, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The drilling encountered intercepts of 0.3 meters at 185 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 773 meters, as well as 1 meter at 4.6 g/t grade of gold from 446 meters.
A second diamond drill rig has been secured to test the continuation of high-grade gold along strike, the filing said. An application has been submitted for several proposed drill sites at Blue Moon, and subject to approval for the exploration from Parks Victoria, the drill rig is expected to mobilize to the site in October.
Falcon Metals' shares dove nearly 19% in recent trading on Tuesday.
