DocuSign (DOCU) and Clear Secure (YOU) said Thursday they are launching a biometric identity verification service in the US using the Clear1 platform as part of their collaboration.

The initiative aims to address rising identity fraud risks, particularly those driven by generative AI, by offering a secure and user-friendly way for people to verify identities directly within the DocuSign platform.

DocuSign's new integration allows Clear members to verify their identity with a selfie, while non-members can sign up in 90 seconds, the companies said.

The companies plan to introduce Risk-Based Verification, which tailors the security process based on the user's risk profile, balancing fraud prevention and speed.
