Tolu Minerals (ASX:TOK) completed a high-resolution airborne survey across the Tolukuma gold project in Papua New Guinea and adjacent vein fields, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
It deployed a Teledyne Galaxy Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) sensor alongside a Vexcel UltraCam Eagle large-format imaging system, mounted on a fixed-wing aircraft, to acquire topographic and imagery data over an area of 65 square kilometers. The integrated system is capable of penetrating the rainforest canopy to deliver a digital terrain model.
The results of the survey will be used to help define drill hole locations for expansion resource drilling and engineering applications.
The firm's shares fell almost 2% in recent trading on Wednesday.
