HIVE Digital Technologies (HIVE) subsidiary, BUZZ High Performance Computing, said Thursday it has acquired a 7.2-megawatt data center site in the Greater Toronto Area to build a Tier III+ facility designed for AI workloads.
The company said the new site will offer colocation services for enterprises, institutions and governments seeking sovereign data infrastructure.
It will also host BUZZ High Performance Computing's accelerated compute clusters to support high-performance AI development and deployment, it added.
BUZZ added that the site will have access to Ontario's clean energy and advanced liquid-cooling systems capable of supporting GPU racks of 150 kW or more, designed to handle demanding AI tasks such as training and inference.
Shares of the company were up 5.7% in Thursday's premarket activity.
