RedBird IMI Drops Plan to Acquire ITV Studios, FT Says, Citing Source

-- Abu Dhabi-backed group RedBird IMI has dropped plans to acquire the production arm of British broadcaster ITV, the Financial Times reports, citing an unnamed source.

-- Talks about a potential merger halted some time ago and the group is not currently interested in a deal with the broadcaster, the FT says, citing the source.

-- ITV, Banijay and All3Media declined to comment when contacted by the FT. RedBird IMI did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the FT.
