法院认定，他们通过教会发行的 INDXcoin 和 Sumcoin 代币违反证券法，从至少 596 名投资者处非法集资。判决书显示，Regalado 夫妇宣称“上帝”指示他们创建、出售并“播种”INDXcoin，还组建“先知团队”，每周多次电话会议获取该代币及交易所的最新信息，关键决策时祈祷并依“神旨”提建议，强化宗教推广框架，但这未使其免受审查。此外，他们将投资者资金存入自己账户，至少 130 万美元用于个人奢侈消费。
