香港贸易发展局主席马时亨在一个活动上表示，美国总统特朗普4月初宣布“解放日”，为世界带来关税等很多改变，但香港是这些改变的受惠者；贸易方面至今未见受到影响，目前东盟是香港主要贸易伙伴，而中东与香港之间贸易亦增加。
马时亨表示，特朗普“解放日”以来的措施，不是令美国再伟大起来，而是让中国再伟大起来，因为相关措施令欧洲认识到中国才是它们的朋友，近月不只内地资金，亦有许多欧美资金流入港股，令香港受惠。
他认为，中国是世界的稳定力量，香港在贸易局势中获益，例如中国在“一带一路”沿线国家表现出色，上周在港举办的“一带一路高峰论坛”，吸引逾70个国家或地区代表出席，东盟现已成为香港最大贸易伙伴，香港与中东等地区的合作愈来愈密切，内地亦宣布对多个非洲国家免征关税。
马时亨又指，贸发局将于明年1月和6月举行亚洲金融论坛(AFF)和海湾阿拉伯国家合作委员会(GCC)峰会，邀请中东、东盟的代表来港参与，展示香港作为超级联络人的角色。(ss/a)
