Expedia Looks to AI to Reinvent Itself -- Market Talk

1310 ET - Expedia executives see artificial intelligence as a means to reinvent the company again, following previous transformations with a shift to mobile and the rise of the internet, Wedbush Securities analysts say in a note after attending an event with CEO Ariane Gorin. The online travel agency benefits from a swath of data and has started to incorporate AI across its platform to summarize guest reviews and answer questions about properties, the analysts say. Those on-platform tools have already led to a clear improvement in conversion, though it's still too early to assess the impact from the company's AI agents and other external AI tools, the analysts say.(kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
