Via Transportation (VIA) said late Tuesday that the US District Court for the Western District of Texas has awarded it a 10% running royalty on all future US sales products made by RideCo that have allegedly infringed on Via's virtual bus stop patents.
The court has also awarded supplemental damages based on the royalty rate awarded by the jury to compensate for pretrial infringement of Via's patents, the company said.
The decision follows a January court decision in which RideCo was found to have infringed on three of Via's patents protecting its virtual bus stop technology, the company.
RideCo's attempt to overturn the verdict was rejected, the company said.
RideCo did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
