Tencent Prices 9 Billion Yuan Notes Under Global Medium-Term Note Program

Tencent Holdings (HKG:0700) priced 9 billion yuan in senior notes under its global medium-term note program, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.

The issuance comprises 2 billion yuan of notes due 2030 with a coupon of 2.10%, 6 billion yuan of notes due 2035 at 2.50%, and 1 billion yuan of notes due 2055 at 3.10%.

Net proceeds are estimated at about 8.97 billion yuan after fees, which the company intends to use for general corporate purposes.

The notes are expected to be issued on Sept. 23 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Following the deal, Tencent will have an aggregate $19.01 billion equivalent of outstanding notes under the programme.

Bank of China (HKG:3988, SHA:601988), Citic Securities (HKG:6030, SHA:600030), HSBC (HKG:0005), and JPMorgan are among the banks acting as managers for Tencent's note issuance.
