Shares of Qantas Airways Rise After Adding 27 Extra Flights on Melbourne-Brisbane Route

Shares of Qantas Airways (ASX:QAN) inched up in recent Monday trade after it said in a Sept. 21 media release that the airline and its subsidiary Jetstar would add up to 27 additional flights between Melbourne and Brisbane to meet increased demand from fans traveling to an upcoming game.

The company will operate eight extra flights, while Jetstar has added six return flights, collectively offering more than 4,500 additional seats, the release said.

These additional flights will operate between Sept. 26 and Sept. 29, the filing added.
