汇丰控股表示，美国外国雇员签证费用的提高对该行而言是“可控的”，因为其在美国的雇员数量少于部分同行或主要科技公司。

　　“我们持签证员工的数量不多，”汇丰企业及机构银行主管Michael Roberts周一接受采访时表示。“对我们而言，是可控的。”他补充称，对其他金融服务公司和科技企业而言，可能是“严重地多的问题”。

　　根据美国政府的数据，H-1B签证数量最多的公司是亚马逊、Tata Consultancy Services Ltd．、微软、Meta Platforms和苹果公司。美国政府数据显示，摩根大通和沃尔玛分列第八和第九位。

　　Roberts表示，与其他公司一样，汇丰也度过了一个忙乱的周末，因为最初围绕这项改革将如何实施和执行存在不确定性。一位白宫官员最终澄清说，该费用只适用于新签证，不影响续签或现有签证持有者，并将在下一个抽签周期中实施。

　　“令人遗憾的是，最初的政策并没有明确此项政策是追溯生效，还是会在未来生效，”Roberts表示。“现在他们说清楚了。”
