根据摩根大通经济学家的一项分析，白宫新出台的10万美元H-1B签证申请费用可能会使每月的移民工作许可至多减少5，500份。

　　Abiel Reinhart和Michael Feroli在一份报告中写道，尽管与整体的美国劳动力市场相比，受影响工人的数量“相当少”，科技公司和来自印度的移民面临更大的影响。

　　2024财年，计算机相关职业占H-1B批准总数的近三分之二，大约一半获批的申请涉及专业、科学和技术服务领域的职位。约71%的签证获得者来自印度。

　　上个财年批准的约14.1万份H-1B新就业申请中约有6.5万份是在海外办理的。摩根大通经济学家表示，这些申请者最有可能受到新费用的影响。

　　Reinhart和Feroli写道：“如果全部停止，每月的移民工作许可将至多减少5，500个，除非移民能够使用其他签证类别获得就业机会。”
