智通财经APP获悉，知情人士透露，康卡斯特(CMCSA.US)正考虑在其最大的业务部门——“连接与平台”部门进行裁员。该部门负责运营其Xfinity互联网、移动和付费电视业务。
此次裁员是公司重组计划的一部分，该计划预计将于明年1月启动，旨在消除公司和地区办事处之间的管理层级，从而精简部门管理。
康卡斯特的连接和平台部门(其中还包括该公司的 Sky 品牌)目前采用三级管理结构，其中部门负责人充当地区负责人和总部之间的纽带。
一份发给员工的备忘录显示，作为重组架构的一部分，区域团队将直接向一位负责全美运营的新高管汇报工作。知情人士称，尽管会进行裁员，但康卡斯特仍在最终确定哪些职位需要集中管理。
在这份备忘录中，该公司并未透露将裁减多少工作岗位，但表示面向客户的一线团队，比如负责客户服务和零售业务的团队，将不会受到影响。
