Compass (COMP) shares dropped over 16% after the company said it has struck an all-stock merger agreement with Anywhere Real Estate (HOUS). Anywhere shares were up over 45%.
Each Anywhere share will be exchanged for 1.436 shares of Compass Class A stock, it said. Compass shareholders will own about 78% of the combined company after the deal.
Trading volume of Compass grew to over 28.8 million shares, compared with a daily average of almost 7.7 million.
Shares of Quantum Computing (QUBT) fell over 10% after the company said it has struck deals to sell about 26.9 million shares to institutional investors to raise $500 million.
Trading volume was more than 62.4 million shares, against a daily average of roughly 20.5 million.
CEA Industries (BNC) shares sank about 20% after the company over the weekend filed a registration statement for a $500 million financing deal.
Trading volume was around 3.3 million shares, versus a daily average of about 516,000.
