Maiyue Tech Signs Three-Year AI Translation Deal with NetEase; Maiyue Shares Jump 7%

Maiyue Technology (HKG:2501) entered into a three-year framework agreement with NetEase Youdao to jointly develop AI translation technologies, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Shares of the tech firm jumped 7% in Tuesday late-morning trade.
The deal covers the integration of NetEase's (HKG:9999) Ziyue model into Maiyue's devices and NetEase's planned purchase of 10,000 portable translation units.
Separately, Maiyue signed a non-binding cooperation pact with Ferry International Consulting of Cambodia, which plans to acquire 2,000 AI language products and may secure distribution rights in the country.
