Sector Update: Financial Stocks Lean Lower Pre-Bell Monday

Financial stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Monday, with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) declining by 0.5%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 1.8% lower and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was up 1.2%.

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) said it has raised its offer to acquire Banco Sabadell by 10% to 17 billion euros ($20 billion). BBVA shares were down more than 2% premarket.

TPG (TPG) has invested in the UK-based business management platform Tide, boosting the firm's valuation to $1.5 billion, Tide said. TPG shares were 0.7% lower premarket.

Paysafe (PSFE) said it partnered with CMC Markets to offer Skrill and Neteller as the broker's first digital wallets and alternative payment methods across Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other markets, excluding the UK and US. Paysafe shares were down 0.1% pre-bell.
