The Bank of East Asia (HKG:0023) will exercise the option to redeem all $650 million of certain undated capital securities on Oct. 21, a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
The securities were issued under a $6 billion medium-term bond program.
The redeemed securities will be cancelled by the lender, following which the firm will apply to withdraw their listing from the Hong Kong bourse.
