Models from BYD (SHE:002594, HKG:1211), Chery Automobile's (HKG:9973) Jaecoo, and SAIC's (SHA:600104) MG are in the top ten, Reuters said.
China-branded vehicles saw a combined market share of 5.5% in August with more than 43,500 sales, surging 121% year over year, the report said.
Tesla's Model Y is still Europe's best-selling model, but sales dropped 37%, Reuters said.
