China Water Industry Group Limited reported its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2025. The Group posted a consolidated loss before taxation of HK$64.88 million, compared to a loss before taxation of HK$64.88 million for the same period in 2024. Consolidated revenue for the period was HK$118.05 million, down from HK$316.05 million in the corresponding period of 2024. The decrease in revenue was mainly attributable to lower contributions from water supply services, sewage treatment services, water supply-related installation and construction income, and the sale of electricity. The water supply services segment reported no revenue for the period, compared with HK$53.10 million in 2024. Revenue from sewage treatment services fell to HK$27.93 million from HK$46.44 million, and sales of electricity declined to HK$53.40 million from HK$91.00 million. By segment, the provision of sewage treatment and related construction services contributed HK$27.98 million in revenue and recorded a segment profit of HK$7.58 million. The exploitation and sale of renewable energy segment posted revenue of HK$58.57 million and a segment loss of HK$50.74 million. Waste management and recycling reported revenue of HK$31.50 million and a segment profit of HK$0.75 million. Property investment and development did not contribute revenue and recorded a segment loss of HK$0.52 million. No update on outlook or operational guidance was provided in the interim financial statements. The Group's business activities during the period included sewage treatment, exploitation and sale of renewable energy, and waste management and recycling.
