Air New Zealand Buys Back Over 600,000 Ordinary Shares

Air New Zealand (ASX:AIZ, NZE:AIR) bought back 602,424 ordinary shares, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.

The company repurchased 248,245 ordinary shares on the New Zealand Stock Exchange at an average price of NZ$0.5966; 46,896 ordinary shares on the Australian Stock Exchange at AU$0.5273 apiece; and 307,283 ordinary shares acquired off-market from the Sovereign through the Minister of Finance at NZ$0.5963 each, the filing stated.

The company now has 3.28 billion ordinary shares in issue and 93 shares held as treasury stock.
