Siemens said Barbara Humpton, president and chief executive of its Siemens USA arm, is retiring from the global technology company on Oct. 1.

Siemens on Friday said Ann Fairchild, general counsel for Siemens USA, will step in as interim president and CEO of the unit, which employs 45,000 people across the U.S.

Humpton joined Siemens in 2011 and has spent the last seven years at the helm of Siemens USA, which serves the German company's largest market and generated $21.1 billion in revenue in fiscal 2024.
