FMR Resources (ASX: FMR) said a gradient-array induced polarization survey at the Goshen prospect at the Fairfield copper project in Canada will begin in the near term to map out the sulfide-bearing zones associated with copper mineralization, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The survey results will inform drilling planned for the fourth quarter. Field mapping and sampling will be undertaken over the historic anomalies and the cleared survey lines at the prospect.
The firm applied for funding under the New Brunswick Junior Mining Assistance Program for funding of up to 50% of eligible costs, within defined limits, and it secured CA$40,000 in funding.
The firm's shares jumped 4% in recent trading on Tuesday.
