智通财经APP获悉，量子计算公司IonQ(IONQ.US)周一表示，该公司已任命被广泛誉为“太空军之父”的John Raymond上将加入董事会。据悉，John Raymond在美国军队服役近40年，曾在核能、太空、空军和网络行动等各个层级担任领导职务。目前，他是Cerberus Capital Management的董事总经理。他曾由美国总统特朗普任命，成为美国太空军的首任太空作战部长及首位成员。截至发稿，IonQ周一美股盘前涨超2%。
IonQ首席执行官兼董事长Niccolo de Masi在声明中表示：“John Raymond上将的职业生涯以创新、奉献和关键任务领导力而著称。他的战略远见、值得信赖的人脉关系，以及对复杂全球安全挑战的深刻理解，将对IonQ极具价值。随着我们持续拓展在量子计算、网络与传感方面与各国政府及防务机构的合作——无论是在地面还是在太空——他的加入将带来重要助力。”
