Chinese Maritime Transport's (TPE:2612) unit China Peace Shipping ordered a new 210,000-ton bulk carrier from CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding and China Shipbuilding Trading.
The vessel is priced between $76 million and $79.8 million, according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing.
The purchase is aimed at fleet replacement and long-term business development.
